Special Classes
In addition to a strong core curriculum, St. Mary - St Joseph School has a wide variety of special programs.
On a weekly basis each grade level, K-8, enjoys the following classes to round out their education.

Fine Arts: Students from grades K-8 learn different ways to convey ideas, using different sources and mediums, symbols and ideas from other cultures to communicate through art.
Technology: Students from grades K-8 learn computer skills, such as typing and keyboarding, power point slide shows, word documents, research papers and letter writing, spreadsheets, internet researching, using email, and database applications.
Health: Students from grades 4-8 learn key concepts related to health-promotion and disease prevention.
Library Science: Students from grades K-8 learn how to use an electronic library database, call numbers, Dewey decimal system, book care, and the parts of a book, all while promoting literacy and independent reading.
Music: Students from grades K-8 learn to sing independently and in groups, on pitch and in rhythm, from a varied repertoire of songs from diverse cultures, blending timbres and singing from memory.
Band: Instrumental lessons are offered through the Future Musicians Inc. (FMI). Students from grades 4-8 learn to play alone and with others, a varied repertoire of instrumental music, in addition to learning how to read, notate, describe and analyze music. The band prepares and performs several musical concerts for the school during the school year. Band lessons are a separate expense in addition to tuition.
Spanish: Middle school students learn to speak the foreign language and gain an understanding about Hispanic literature, culture and customs.
