St. Mary - St. Joseph School in Willimantic, Connecticut is a bi-parochial Catholic school for children grades pre-k through 8. SMSJ is fully accredited and approved by New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the State of Connecticut.
Our school is sponsored by two parishes, St. Mary's Church located at 46 Valley Street, Willimantic and St. Joseph's Church located at 99 Jackson Street, Willimantic, Connecticut. We are also a part of the Diocese of Norwich.
Our school prides itself on providing faith-based education in a small class atmosphere. We are committed to instilling Catholic values whilst providing a challenging and rewarding educational environment. Service to others, donating, and community service is encouraged. Our motto is "JOY" (Jesus, Others, Yourself).
SMSJ celebrates the uniqueness in every child and we hold it as our sacred mission to help each child develop his or her own God-given talents and gifts. Through His Word and by our daily example, we nourish their spiritual growth. We teach so that students will meet the future with a firm foundation of knowledge, skills and faith.
