Academics

SMSJ is a close-knit community where students and faculty are like a family. Our school strives to create a special bond between students, school, home and church.  Our teachers take pride in their students' success. While teaching academics, we also promote community, morality, religious values and spirituality in our students.  While not all students who come to our school are Catholic, all share experiences of faith and values.  We encourage family input and involvement in the ongoing education of your children. Research shows that Catholic School students score significantly above the national averages on standardized testing and have a higher graduation rate. We teach a wide variety of subjects, including special programs and extra-curricular activities that take place during and after school which will enrich, enhance and provide your child with a well-rounded education. We are pleased to offer various special classes, clubs and activities to our students. In addition, we offer Pre-Kindergarten (Extended Day), Kindergarten (Extended Day), Hot Lunch Program, Title I Teacher, Speech Teacher, and Latch Key Care (before and after school).
